He is a former publishing executive with 15 years of profit and loss responsibility for business units with 150 to 500+ employees and with $19 million to $90 million in revenues including multi-location operations, with companies such as Knight Ridder, McClatchy and Hearst. He has served in senior financial positions including Chief Financial Officer for public and private companies on both coasts and in the Mid-west. He was a small business owner operator of a home health agency franchiseterritory in Southwest Florida, which he started from scratch and then sold to a neighboring franchisee. Most recently he was Senior Vice President and Market Leader for the Charleston, SC regional area of HUB International the 5th largest global full-service insurance broker.
A trusted advisor with a reputation for building relationships and partnerships, Haitz has also served in leadership positions for a variety of non-profit organizations including the Mount Nittany Medical Center, the Knight Foundation, and various Community Foundations to name a few. In 2016, he established a community foundation donor advised 501(c)(3) fund to support community initiatives. Haitz participated in the 82nd Joint Civilian Orientation Conference, a highly selective appointment with the U.S. Department of Defense, and he is a Bloomsburg University Young Alumnus of the Year recipient.
Haitz has a MBA from Pennsylvania State University and a BS from Bloomsburg University. He and his wife, Tina Kelley, reside in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
